Our client, a well-established player in Luxembourg’s financial services industry, is looking for a Depositary Officer to join its team and oversee a portfolio of alternative investment funds, with a particular focus on AIF (PE/RE, etc.).
In this role, you will ensure that depositary oversight activities are performed accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

Key responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of funds investing in Private Equity, Real Estate, Debt and Fund of Funds.
- Perform depositary oversight duties in accordance with applicable regulations, including AIFMD and relevant Luxembourg fund regimes.
- Review transactional documentation and verify asset ownership on a look-through basis.
- Monitor cash flows and prepare year-end asset positions.
- Assist in preparing periodic internal reports on fund portfolios.
- Perform four-eyes checks and ensure the accuracy of work performed.
- Report operational risks, irregularities and suspicious activities, escalating issues where necessary.
The profile:
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in depositary, custody, audit or fund accounting.
- Good knowledge of Private Equity and Real Estate investment structures.
- Understanding of the regulatory framework applicable to depositaries in Luxembourg.
- Fluent in English; French and/or German would be an advantage.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred.
- Detail-oriented, analytical and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility.
