Fund Accountant (Private Equity) – Independent Fund Administrator – NT588
Our client is a specialist provider of fund administration and accounting services to alternative investment structures. The role sits within a client-focused environment supporting private equity and real estate funds, as well as related SPVs, with regular interaction across fund managers, auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders.
Additionally, the selected candidate will help develop and manage the team to ensure a high-quality, client-focused service.
THE MANDATE:
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Take responsibility for the accounting and reporting coordination of a portfolio of private equity, real estate funds, and related structures
Serve as a key contact for clients on day-to-day accounting and financial reporting matters
Prepare and review periodic financial statements, cash flow reports, and related disclosures, while liaising with clients on transaction-driven items
Produce statutory accounts for Luxembourg funds and other entities under Lux GAAP and IFRS
Assist with investor reporting, including NAV-related deliverables where relevant
Contribute to the preparation and review of consolidations for groups of entities
Calculate management fees, equalisation adjustments, and performance fees in line with fund documentation such as LPAs and PPMs
Audit, Regulatory & Operational Support
Support year-end audit processes by preparing working files and following through on technical queries
Prepare Luxembourg regulatory reporting as well as VAT and tax return inputs
• Oversee filings with authorities such as the BCL and CSSF
Review payment instructions across banking platforms and ensure appropriate supporting and KYC documentation is in place before approval
Attend board and shareholder meetings when required and review meeting packs alongside the administration team
Client Service & Team Contribution
Build strong and proactive working relationships with clients and third-party advisors including auditors, lawyers, and tax specialists
Use technical judgement and common sense to resolve issues efficiently and maintain service quality
Support the development of junior colleagues through coaching, guidance, and knowledge sharing within the team
THE PROFILE:
Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent, or active progress toward one
Previous client-facing experience gained within a professional services environment
Strong knowledge of Lux GAAP and IFRS; exposure to consolidations would be an advantage
Good understanding of alternative investment structures, ideally across private equity and/or real estate
Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a practical approach to client servicing
Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
Ability to support, mentor, and guide junior team members
Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence dealing with clients and external stakeholders
Fluent English is required; French and/or German would be an asset
