We are pleased to assist our client in their search for a Financial Analyst for a 3 months initial contract. The resource will allow extra finance capacity to a growing international satellite communications and technology business during a busy operational period. Working closely with the finance lead, the contractor will own routine finance activities: bookkeeping, accounts payable, expense processing and day-to-day transaction review, while supporting month-end and financial reporting. Practical Odoo ERP experience, especially in accounts payable and purchase orders, is required.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping and records: Process and review daily transactions for accuracy and documentation, keep accurate records, investigate discrepancies, and support the finance lead.
Accounts payable and POs: Run the full AP cycle from invoice receipt to approval, match invoices to purchase orders, manage POs, monitor due dates, and maintain supplier records.
Expenses and controls: Process and review employee expenses, and check, challenge and flag unusual transactions or errors.
Month-end and reporting: Ensure correct period allocation, prepare accruals for the external accountants, assist with reconciliations and monthly trial-balance reporting to shareholders.
Stakeholder coordination: Work with the finance lead and leadership to track activity and commitments, chase missing documents and approvals, and keep financial information reliable.
Profile
Hands-on Odoo experience, particularly accounts payable (invoice processing and verification), plus a background in bookkeeping, AP or operational finance in a commercial company.
Invoice processing, expense management, routine accounting, understanding of accruals, reconciliations and month-end, and the ability to review transactions critically and follow up on issues.
Experience with an external accountant or financial reporting, Citibank online banking familiarity, and strong Excel skills.
Other ERP experience is useful if finance skills are transferable.
