CONTROLLER – REAL ESTATE FUND PLATFORM – NT584

Our client is an international real estate investment platform operating across Luxembourg, Amsterdam, and the UK. The firm works closely with a leading global asset manager to oversee a broad portfolio of structures and investments, combining entity management, financial reporting, cash flow oversight, and regulatory coordination across the investment lifecycle. The Luxembourg office is now looking to hire a Controller to support both an existing real estate portfolio and the launch of a new fund.


The Role:
Accounting, Reporting & Compliance
  • Oversee the accounting, reporting, cash management, and compliance matters of a portfolio of mid-level holding entities linked to real estate investments
  • Ensure financial statements, including consolidated accounts where relevant, are prepared accurately and in line with internal standards and external requirements
  • Coordinate yearly tax reporting packages and make sure all local obligations are met within deadline, including tax filings and other statutory requirements
  • Monitor compliance with applicable legal, tax, and regulatory obligations across the entities under management
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams, external advisors, and governance professionals across the wider group
Transactions & Fund Flow Management
  • Work closely with internal teams and external advisors on current and future investments across the real estate platform
  • Contribute actively to acquisition and other transaction processes, helping ensure closings are completed smoothly and on schedule
  • Support the management and monitoring of fund flows in coordination with the various stakeholders involved in the structure
  • Develop a good understanding of legal documentation and transaction-related matters in order to support deal execution effectively

Stakeholder Coordination & Governance
  • • Build and maintain strong working relationships with auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, compliance teams, and other key stakeholders
  • Support board members by preparing relevant materials and presenting financial and operational information to assist with decision-making
  • Gradually take ownership of a dedicated portfolio of investments and entities, becoming a key contact for related internal and external parties
  • Work in close collaboration with colleagues across the platform in a hands-on and integrated manner



The Profile:
 
  • 4 to 8 years of relevant experience gained within the fund industry, a Big Four environment, or a trust / corporate services provider in Luxembourg
  • Prior exposure to real estate fund structures is essential
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Controlling, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Solid background in bookkeeping and strong knowledge of Lux GAAP
  • Experience with financial statement consolidation would be an advantage
  • Comfortable working with legal documentation and transaction-related processes
  • Able to manage several priorities at the same time and perform well under tight deadlines
  • Organised, dependable, and capable of taking ownership of responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills and relationship-building abilities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; French, German, or another language would be an asset
  • Good command of Microsoft Office; knowledge of accounting software would be a plus
