The Opportunity
A prestigious international law firm with a strong presence in Luxembourg's financial and legal market is seeking a talented Capital Markets & Banking Associate to join its growing team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on high-profile, cross-border transactions alongside experienced practitioners, advising a sophisticated client base that includes financial institutions, investment banks, funds, corporates, public entities, and private equity firms.
Your Role
You will be an active contributor to a dynamic practice, with responsibilities that include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating financing documentation and legal opinions across syndicated lending, real estate finance, acquisition finance, fund finance, and debt restructuring
- Managing and coordinating multiple workstreams within capital markets and lending transactions
- Advising on securitisation and structured finance transactions
- Supporting debt capital markets transactions, securities issuances, and listing-related matters
- Providing regulatory and compliance advice in the context of finance and capital markets transactions
- Taking part in client meetings, business development presentations, and legal publications
Your Profile-
- Master's degree in Law or equivalent; an LLM is a plus
- Admission to a European or Luxembourg Bar
- 1 to 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Luxembourg
- Fluency in English is required; French and/or German are strong assets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesise complex legal issues into practical, actionable advice
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
- Team-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
- High sense of responsibility and commitment to quality
