Our client is a global asset management business with broad expertise across traditional and alternative asset classes.

Its Luxembourg platform is a strategically important MiFID entity authorised for fund distribution, portfolio management, and investment advice, with an established branch network across several European jurisdictions.

To support its continued development, the company is now looking to hire an Authorised Manager (Operations) to oversee the day-to-day running of the Luxembourg entity while also contributing to international projects led by the wider COO office.

THE MANDATE:

Governance, Oversight & Business Management
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day operational oversight of the Luxembourg MiFID platform
  • Act as one of the Authorised Managers covering areas such as administration, domiciliation, complaints handling, finance, and IT
  • Oversee distribution-related marketing and product governance activities carried out by the Luxembourg entity and its branches
  • Participate in governance committees and contribute to the monitoring of the company’s activities across jurisdictions
  • Coordinate and supervise the work performed by the European branches, ensuring alignment with internal standards and regulatory expectations
  • Travel regularly to the branches in order to maintain close oversight and support local activity
  • Support the execution of the firm’s European expansion strategy

Projects, Process Improvement & Strategic Support
  • Coordinate international strategic, operational, and regulatory-driven projects across the business
  • Structure and manage projects by setting objectives, defining timelines, and removing obstacles to delivery
  • Gather and assess information, develop working assumptions, and turn findings into practical recommendations for stakeholders
  • Provide management with analysis and facts that support decision-making and business change
  • Identify operational gaps and implement scalable, efficient processes across different parts of the organisation
  • Contribute to the drafting and enhancement of policies and procedures to strengthen compliance and operational efficiency


THE PROFILE:
 
  • Strong experience within financial services, ideally gained in the investment fund industry or in a strategic / financial consulting environment
  • Solid exposure to governance, business oversight, and operational management topics
  • Ability to build credibility quickly and develop strong working relationships across senior stakeholder groups
  • Confident communicator, capable of addressing issues in a constructive but assertive manner
  • Able to work independently, take ownership, and influence others to move topics forward
  • Strong reporting, presentation, and communication skills
  • Analytical and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to break down complex issues into practical actions
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability for deliverables
  • Results-driven approach, with the ability to work to deadlines while maintaining quality
  • Comfortable reviewing, simplifying, and improving processes in a clear and pragmatic way
  • Adaptable, commercially aware, and able to respond effectively to changing priorities
  • Proactive in identifying issues early and implementing suitable solutions
  • Collaborative and client-focused, with a genuine team-oriented mindset
  • Fluent English is required; an additional European language would be considered an advantage
