Extraordinary Number of Legal Administration Job Openings Requiring “Mother Tongue” English

Jobs are opening up across many sectors – private equity, real estate, corporate services and asset management. Yet even with this strong demand, candidates must be either mother tongue English speakers or have the equivalent fluency. This is because, to communicate with the home office or maintain relationships with core overseas clients, people performing paralegal and legal jobs in Luxembourg must have a clear understanding of the nuances of English. In many cases an ICSA (Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators) certification is also highly sought after.

Driven by the market upturn and an increase in transactions, we expect this trend to continue for 3-6 months. While most of the job demand is coming from companies already established in Luxembourg, several new companies have recently opened local offices.
